LOCAL COMMUNITY FOOTPRINT

The Integral Kumusha’s social transformation efforts begins with the involvement and impact within its own Buhera Community. Its primary efforts and energy are directed towards enhancing the lives and livelihoods of the people in its community. the key pillars of defining the Integral Kumusha footprint include the following;

  1. Local Leadership

Collaboration and close cooperation with local leadership such as the traditional leadership including the Village Heads, Headmen, Chiefs. These leaders provide guidance and traditional practices and values to ensure cultural cohesion and alignment. The Integral Kumusha automatically becomes part of the Buhera Rural District Council (BRDC) the Buhera Development Forum (BDF) and all other administrative and political leadership within the community.

  1. Local People

In line with our traditional and cultural practices, the Integral Kumusha becomes part of the local people and involves them in its programmes. Every member of the local community has direct access to employment opportunities and for all tasks to be performed priority is given to local people willing to be involved.

  1. Local Social and Economic Enterprises

The Integral Kumusha’s local participation extends other established enterprises to advance local socio-economic transformation and development. Key entities such as Non-governmental organisations (NGOs), business enterprises such as mines e.g Shawa and Dorowa Mines and other businesses operating within the area are part of its ecosystem and engages them for infrastructure and socio-economic development.

NATIONAL SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PATH
  1. National Model Rural Homestead

The Integral Kumusha was commissioned as the National Model Rural Homestead dubbed the “SMART INTEGRAL KUMUSHA” by the Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier Services Dr J Muswere on 8th December 2021. This recognition helps the Integral Kumusha in its national rural transformation thrust. This occasion marked the special Community Network Conference that was held at Murambinda being facilitated by the Permanent Secretary Dr. Eng. S Kundishora as part of the national development strategy.

  1. Intra Community Collaboration – Mhondoro Chief Rwizi Visits the Integral Kumusha

As part of the national rural development agenda, the Integral Kumusha partnered with the Mhondoro Community in Mashonaland West Province which resulted in Chief Rwizi visiting the Integral Kumusha with his entrouge of about 50 people including Village Heads, Headmen and Councillors for the purpose of knowledge sharing and exposure on the Integral Kumusha innovation and projects. The function was graced by Mambo Makumbe and was the first of its kind where a paramount Chief visits a different area to seek developmental support.

  1. Visit by the Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Water, Fisheries and Rural Development

The Manicaland Provincial Agritex Officer Mrs Rwambiwa facilitated the visit by Dr A Masuka to the Integral Kumusha for him to witness the regenerative and agro-based processing activities taking place for expansion to other parts of the country.

REGIONAL FOOTPRINT EXPANSION
  1. Southern Africa Development Community (SADC)

Expansion of the Integral Kumusha innovation into the SADC Region is taking place in collaboration and cooperation with other private enterprises through the SADC Consortium Working Group which it places a very active and influential role in transforming communities and societies.

THE AFRICAN SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION AGENDA
  1. Transformation of African societies is being conducted in conjunction with organisations with similar developmental agendas such as Pax Herbal in Nigeria and SEKEM in Egypt. These organisations have similar development orientation and are actively involved in socio-economic transformation activities, hence working together will strengthen this transformation agenda.
  2. The promotion of free trade within the African continent and the drive to achieve Africa Agenda 2063 which envisions inclusive economic development, the Integral Kumusha and Nhakanomics concepts become so imperative in achieving Africa’s goals and to position itself of its rightful place on the global table.
GLOBAL SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION AND IMPACT

The Integral Kumusha was launched as an Exemplary Home for Humanity on 18th April 2020 and is now part of the global movement which focus on co-creating home on Earth thereby promoting inclusivity, peace, justice and equality. The Homes for Humanity global movement is spearheading planetary regeneration by unleashing the power of homes or organisations that operate like homes. This movement has different homes for humanity in all continents throughout the world which makes the Integral Kumusha part of the global community which is transcontinental and transcultural, driving societal transformation.
